G and Steve, the two intrepid explorers, embarked on a remarkable 640-kilometer trek across the unforgiving terrain of the Great Sandy Desert in Australia. Their journey, undertaken in support of Melanoma WA, was a testament to human resilience and determination. Traversing the arid landscape, they relied on their trusty camels, which they had trained from scratch, showcasing the enduring partnership between humans and animals. Despite enduring 38 days without a shower, consuming dehydrated meals, and coping with limited water points, their unwavering determination propelled them forward, showcasing the indomitable human spirit in the face of adversity. The expedition stands as a testament to the remarkable adaptability of animals and the profound bond formed between humans and their animal companions during challenging endeavors. We were there to witness the first 8 days before watching them walk over the horizon. The Great Sandy was a very special place to visit and we would love more than anything to get back there one day.
